Welcome to the Tippmann A5! Here I'm going to
outline everything you're going to need to know about this marker. For all you casual players
out there looking for a high performance gun at a
reasonable price ($180), the Tippmann A5 is definitely for you. One of the best aspects of the Tippmann A5 is the 'no tools'
approach Tippmann took to this marker. You do cleaning and maintenance, as well as take it apart and put it back together
without having to use any tools! That's why this marker is so
great for you casuals out there, as no one wants to have to tinker around with
tools all the time. This makes it easy and let's you have more time doing what you love -
taking down your buddies.
So, lets take a look at some of the core features of the marker, and then I will go over the pros, cons
and all the different kits you can get. This review is designed for newcomers,
as well as seasoned vets.

Core Features - Let's Take A Closer Look.
The Cyclone Feed System -
Simply put - the faster you shoot, the faster the
marker releases the paintballs into the chamber. It
uses gas pressure to read your trigger movements,
forcing the piston to move at the rate of fire you
choose. (15 balls per second is max unless you
modify).
No Tool Field Strip (easy to clean)
- Take it apart, and re-build it without using tools
- good for "on the go" people.
Adjustable Front Grip
Micro Honed Barrel - What this
means is that the surface of the barrel is 'honed'
to certain specifications at different areas of the
barrel. This gives the ball more 'backspin' when
leaving the chamber, and creates more accuracy. Common micro
honed size is around .003 inches.
Extra Light Trigger Pull -
Makes shooting a lot quicker and easier.

Pros
Designed For Fast Shooting - What this means is that your
friends will be out before they even know what hit them.
Customizable/Modifiable - you can make it resemble many different types of guns, H&K MP5, Colt M4, AK-47, etc. Search around for upgrades.
Durability - aluminum die cast receiver and built for
stability.
Utilizes both types of propellants - HPA & CO2
No Tools - very low maintenance.

Cons
Although designed to be durable, sometimes the air lines from the Cyclone-Feed System and Response Trigger Kit can get snagged on the environment around you.
Although no tools are necessary, fully disassembling it can take a little bit of time at first. Once you get the hang of it though, it should take you
60 seconds.
The A5 is said to be a little bit heavy, but common, what's a couple pounds? You're here to fight soldier!!

Rating/Recommendations
I give the A5 a solid 4.8 out of 5. There are definitely
better markers out there on the market, but for the price this one competes well
with any of the top markers. Not to mention Tippmann's 1 Year Warrantee.
I recommend getting this marker if you are a casual
player, and even if you are on the field a lot, this is
still right for you. In the end it comes down to the
kits and upgrades you get as well. They will help
in accuracy, as well as the look of your gun. So take a look below for a kit
that may suite you, as this will ensure your long term happiness with the A5!

Different Kits/Upgrades
Upgrades note: This gun has a lot of different upgrades. Before you go crazy and buy everything in sight, just remember to buy just one or two upgrades at first
to make sure you enjoy having them. Sometimes people end up buying a lot of
different upgrades and they realize that that's not what they really wanted in
the end. Now for my most favorite upgrade of all The Flatline Barrel
System!
Flatline Technology...
If you're already convinced that Tippmann has the marker for you, then please think long and hard about upgrading to the
patented Flatline System.
The
all new Tippmann A-5 Flatline Barrel, is a for sure upgrade when considering a
new barrel. As I explained earlier what the flatline does is puts backspin on the paintball as it exits the barrel of your marker. This enables the paintball to go
50 % (100-150 feet) farther then a normal barrel would allow, thus resulting in way more targets being hit that you never thought you could hit
in the first place.
The flatline barrel can displace paintballs over 250 feet,
and still break on impact, now that my friends is great!
The shroud that comes along with it has tactical rails situated on the
barrel. This makes it so you can mount additional things; such as scopes, flashlights,
and even a
red laser sight , just like on the movies!!
Note:Remember, safety is
first and foremost, and a paintball mask must be worn at all times while
playing the game of paintball.
