~ Couple Things You Should Know ~
First things first, you need to decide how and where you're going to be playing paintball regularly. Think practically, if you're in the woods 90% of the time you're going to want a marker that can take a beating. This way you can
whack it against trees, drop it in mud and it will still do the job. So remember durability and reliability are key.
The second thing to decide is your budget. If you're going to invest into a paintball gun and you're a newcomer then the paintball guns below should be cheap enough to start with. If I have one tip for any new player deciding on buying a paintball marker it's that you don't buy a marker from
Wal-Mart! They are super cheap and will break down on you, take my word for it.
~ Check Out Marker Reviews... ~
So let's get into it. Read some reviews on these guns by following the links. If you can't decide in the end, I will recommend one for you. Remember, follow the links to the reviews to get a better, more in depth insight into the markers. Take your time when choosing, there's no rush. Finding one that suites your needs is most important.
Don't worry, the reviews have pictures and videos.
~ Go With A Package Deal ~
When purchasing a paintball gun, make sure to go with a packaged deal. You'll get everything you need
in one shot and a lot more depending on the package, that way you're ready to
start playing paintball right away. Save yourself the hassle of finding different parts, supplies, etc.

#6BT-4 Combat - Man's gun - $160

The BT-4 Combat is actually quite a nice marker for beginners, as much as all of the rest are too. It's well balanced (meaning it's not too heavy in the front, or back, etc.) and durable. It's also a great gun if you're playing outdoors mostly and the price is right. Some have good experiences with the accuracy, some have negative ones - either way, personally, it shoots great for a beginner gun. It's also said to be a bit heavy, but you're not a wimp, are you? entering paintball. Remember, your first purchase is your test, the second is
for the skills you rightfully earned in battle. Nothing bad to say, great marker

The Spyder MR1 is a scary lookin gun, so it'll intimidate. It's very durable and reliable, meaning it will last a long time for you. Great for outdoor play, as well as cool

*Great Gift* Tippmann A-5 - Easy Use, No Tools, SWAT - $180

Oh, how I love the Tippmann A5. I still own one and use it a lot. It's just such an easy gun to use, but advanced enough to have great accuracy and virtually no ball chopping. Easy to customize, and shooting at high balls per second (bps), I recommend this gun for any newcomer. It's durable and great for in and outdoors. Read more

#2Smart Parts SP1 - Military, Tactical, Maneuverability - $170

The Smart Parts SP1 is lightweight as well as durable. It's also a really great gun for 'tactical/military' type simulations (MilSim). Get
night vision scopes or red laser
pointed dots. It gives you a feeling of being on a top secret mission. Really
good for outdoors. There's not many bad things to say about this gun, other than
the feed neck could be better (what connects to hopper). Read more
