Tippmann A5 Paintball Gun Review

Tippmann A5 Paintball Gun

Tippmann A5 Paintball Gun

Well, what can we say about Tippmann? I’m sure most of you will agree they have the best track record for producing some of the most dependable and durable paintball markers on the market. But, I don’t think I need to convince anyone of Tippmann’s track record, so I’ll jump to the point - After having so much success with the Tippmann 98, the A5 is sure to follow foot!

The Tippmann A-5 is a little on the heavier side and is made of aluminum, so you better start working those biceps! The A-5 comes standard with a fore grip, bottom line and the all new Cyclone Feed System, which allows you to fire up to 17 balls per second! Simply put, the faster you fire the A5, the faster it will release balls into the chamber. This is handy for both slow and fast shooters (you know who you are!).

The Low Down

The A-5 is your typical mechanical marker - it comes in black, silver and has various camouflage kits available. One of the best things I love about the tippmann A5 is the ability to make the marker look like real military guns, various examples include…

  • The colt M16 - Ooh Rah!
  • The FN P90
  • The Colt M4 Carbine -I’m sold
  • Kalashnikov AK-47 - Said to be one of the most produced and used rifles on the planet
  • Heckler and Koch MP5 - So you can pretend your swat

A cool addon to the A-5 is the no tool field strip; this is so you can strip the A-5 in 60 seconds right on the field withought any tools. If you can master this art you will have a huge advantage over your enemy.

Another feature that makes the Tippmann A-5 so durable is the “shock-absorbing end cap” which will help reduce the overall recoil of the marker. It’s also good for the beating your A5 will take over the years! Moreover the front cocking knob will allow you to have a fully enclosed receiver and makes it possible to have a 200 round hopper.

The Tippmann A-5 is one of the most customizable markers on the planet, you can literally customize it with anything you want (except a pink barrel you sissy!).

      Final Thoughts

At or around $300 bucks, you can’t go wrong with this awesome piece of work. Great for the entry level players and seasoned vets alike, look for the Tippmann A-5 to dominate the entry level arena for some time to come.

I give the Tippmann A-5 4.7 out of 5. I couldn’t give it a 5 because it’s a little on the heavy side, but makes up for that in its simplicity, dependability and durability. The cyclone feed system is just plain wicked and the no tool field strip option is an awesome reminder of why Tippmann is the leader in paintball guns worldwide. The question remains, will you be looking down the barrel or into it?
